conservatives: once you grow up and manage your own money you'll support capitalism
me after growing up and managing my own money: *hates capitalism more after realizing how ridiculously overpriced it is to live*
Once you grow up and manage your own money you realize that the system is even more rigged than you thought

Once you grow up and manage your own money you realize how important it is to help people in need instead of ridiculing and shaming them for trying to feed their families while some people hoard more wealth than any one person could spend in a lifetime.
This fight always reminds me that Jackie Chan is truly a modern day Chaplin/Keaton. When recognizing physical comedians, Jackie has to be considered a modern king.
This concept is so simple. STICKY FLOOR. That’s about it. And yet he makes absolute magic out of it. He gives us a solid fight sequence, genuine humor and some cheeky, sexy stuff. Everything you want, really.
This fight might not be the most ferocious action sequence he’s done but, as far as comedic ideas go, this one is up there I think. It’s great.
The fight is from The Myth which I’m not going to post a link to because it’s not very good. It has three great action sequences in it (including this one). Track it down at your own peril.
*ships m/f couples but in an un-mistakably bisexual way*
i've seen this post a half a dozen times and every time it was replied to with a different picture of jessie and james
He committed to how pissed off he was
I love how petty this is
I hope he brought the video to traffic court to contest the ticket lol
I love the poetry that this gifset ends with him running into a police car.

This is a tactic called Uncivil Obedience: where you follow the law so stringently that it exposes the injustice the law causes.

Nimona was going to get a film and they CANCELLED it? I never even heard they were making this. Apparently they laid off the team cos of coronavirus but man, what a loss. Nimona is great and I’m positive it would have made an awesome movie.

“Cos of coronavirus” nah fam they bought the studio making Nimona, which was MOSTLY DONE, and cancelled the project. Disney is a multibillion dollar corporation and could easily afford to continue funding the project to completion but willfully chose not to. They chose to kill it. Not because of China or Russia or COVID, but because they are at their roots still supremely bigoted, including anti-gay. Don’t let their rainbow-washing fool you. Disney is not your friend.
Support Creators and Artists, not the cooperation.
Here’s the thing, it’s unfair to call Disney ‘bigoted’ and call it a day… when the reality is so much more sinister than that, and deserves to be scrutinised in detail.
Disney is devouring IPs. That’s a fact. They acquire smaller studios, including all original IP from those studios as well as any rights that were sold to them (even when the original creators did so specifically so Disney wouldn’t get their hands on the IP). Doing anything with that IP isn’t a priority, they just want it, because if they don’t own it, someone else does. And that won’t fly when you want to be the only purveyor of entertainment media in the world.
Any bigoted actions are an interplay of that and Disney’s funding priorities. The company doesn’t give a single solitary crap one way or the other. Hell, if LGBTQ+ content was universally accepted, they’d just flood the market with nothing but that. BUT! That’s not the case today. They’re peddling to the common market, which is bigoted because society is bigoted. Not even in the “Gays is bad” way, but simply “I don’t have anything agaist The Queers, I just don’t know why the have to shove it in my face.”
And you can say “Oh but if the film was so close to finished they could have just funded it the rest of the way!” But that’s not the point. The point is, they want that IP to sit on, like a dragon on its treasure hoard. They want to have it available should they decide 10 years from now that it’ll make all of the money. They want to prevent anyone else from making that money in the meantime. They want the positive press if 3 years from now they do decide to finish it, in a cynical bid to overshadow some new leak of abuse within the company.
That’s the truly sad thing; this isn’t malice. It’s Disney doing business in the same way it’s always done. And it’s crippling, hurting, destroying art.
Reminder that Billie Joe Armstrong publicly came out as bisexual in 1995!
“I think I’ve always been bisexual. […] It’s ingrained in our heads that it’s bad, when it’s not bad at all. It’s a very beautiful thing.”
And that Green Day used their platform to bring openly gay punk band Pansy Division on tour with them in 1994!
a person from 150 years ago would be terrified by modern stuff . however , a duck from 150 years ago would just be all like ,still got lakes? yes ? okay cool
“How fleeting are all human passions compared with the massive continuity of ducks.”
― Dorothy L. Sayers, Gaudy Night (1935)
